Meet the Doctors!
Dr. Chyna Cotangco received her undergraduate degree in Biological sciences from UC Irvine, then went on to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in San Marcos, CA. She furthered her clinical development by completing an Orthopedic Residency Program at Coury & Buehler Physical Therapy in Newport, CA. There, she worked closely with other orthopedic specialists and gained specialized knowledge and skills in the treatment of various musculoskeletal injuries and conditions. Throughout her career, Chyna has been dedicated to staying current with the latest advances in physical therapy, and she regularly attends conferences and continuing education courses to expand her knowledge. She has been certified in kinesiotaping, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), myofascial decompression, and holistic nutrition. When she’s not in the clinic, Chyna enjoys staying active by weight lifting and playing sports – particularly basketball and volleyball. She also enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, cherishes time spent with her family, and loves to take her 3 adorable dogs out!
Dr. Nickon Sharifabadi earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine after earning his Bachelor’s degree in Human Development from California State University of Long Beach. Nickon utilizes a movement-based approach focusing on functional biomechanics and whole body integration to help people achieve their goals. Nickon has completed the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Medical 2 Certification to assess golf-specific injuries, swing/movement analysis, rehabilitation techniques, and condition his patients to improve their performance on and off the golf course. Nickon also works with both overhead and jumping athletes to improve their strength, coordination, and on court/field execution. In his spare time, Nickon enjoys golfing, playing volleyball, snowboarding, weight lifting, and traveling.
